Ingredients

  • ¾ Cup softened butter
  • ½ Cup White Sugar
  • Cup Brown Sugar
  • ¾ Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • Cups Self Raising Flour OR

    2¼ cups plain flour

    2¼ tsp baking powder

  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips

Equipment

  • 1 Mixer I used the Ninja Stealth IQ Food Processor with the Dough Hook on the Dough setting. It mixes everything together in just a couple of minutes, but don't worry if you don't have one. A stand mixer, hand mixer, food processor, or even a wooden spoon will work just fine.
  • 1 Baking Tray Lined with Baking Paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F)
  2. Add the butter, sugars, vanilla, and eggs to your mixer. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spoon portions of dough onto a baking paper-lined tray, leaving space between each cookie.
  6. Bake for 9–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Leave on the tray for 2–3 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
